THE AMPHITHEATER: WHERE COMMUNITIES COME TO LIFE
Nestled against the stunning backdrop of Mount Rinjani, the Amphitheatre is a dynamic centrepiece within the vibrant community of Rinjani Bay. With its open-air design, it stands as a versatile space to foster connections, collaboration and creativity. Prior to the venue being operational, this space will double as our Hospitality School, where aspiring talents undergo rigorous hands-on training refining their skills, cultivating the expertise that will define the unparalleled guest experience at Rinjani Bay.
REVVING UP ROADWORKS
The development of Rinjani Bay’s road network is in full swing which will provide full paved access to all plots and facilities. We’re pleased to announce that 70% of the earthworks for phase 1 are complete and progress continues on schedule into phase 2.
ELEVATING ACCESS THROUGH WEST SUMBAWA’S UP-AND-COMING AIRPORT
Exciting developments are underway in West Sumbawa as construction progresses on the new airport. Currently, efforts are focused on laying the foundation for the runway and constructing the main terminal building. Spanning 100 hectares, the local airport will boast a runway stretching 2.1 kilometres in length.
Anticipation is high for the transformative impact this infrastructure project will bring to the region. Among the foremost challenges facing the development of tourism in West Sumbawa has been limited connectivity and transportation access. The forthcoming airport is poised to address these challenges head-on, offering enhanced access and playing a pivotal role in fostering the growth of tourism and the creative economy throughout West Sumbawa.
INDONESIA TO HOST MXGP MOTOCROSS ACROSS SUMBAWA AND LOMBOK
Indonesia is set to host the MXGP World Motocross racing event once again, featuring two series in June and July 2024. The races kick off on June 30th at the Samota Circuit in Sumbawa, followed by a showdown on July 7th at the Selaparang Circuit in Lombok.
The MXGP events are expected to bring significant economic benefits to West Sumbawa, fostering growth and development in the region. These events continue to showcase Indonesia’s ability to organise top-tier sporting events. Following the successful MotoGP and World Superbike races at the Mandalika Circuit, Indonesia reaffirms its position as a global motorsport destination.
